Agnes Kuvuna Maina

Agnes Kuvuna Maina is a highly efficient, innovative and methodical professional with 20+ years of experience as well as a resilient entrepreneur, passionate about operational excellence and leadership. She is one of the founders and Chief of Operations at Wealth Fest Africa Limited, ensuring that the company meets its objectives in a timely, efficient and effective manner. Alive to the disparity between policy and practice in Africa, Agnes is an advocate for stakeholder involvement, realistic implementation of resolutions arrived at and mindset shift from Aid dependency to Trade.

Agnes has successfully lead one of her companies, Twinkle Pharmacy, to be awarded Best in Professional Services and 1st runners up in the SME of the Year Award, during the 2019 Bizna Awards. Her strategic outlook has been instrumental in the business growth, ensuring that the Twinkle medium term plan was achieved before schedule, thereby successfully transitioning the Pharmacy into an accredited Level 2 Outpatient Medical Centre, complete with consultation services and a certified Class E laboratory.  The outfit, branded Twinkle Medical Services, competes on Affordability and Efficiency and has partnered with various institutions to enhance Accessibility of healthcare services. 

As a leader, Agnes is a member of the East Africa Women’s League, the school life committee of Faith Ventures Christian Academy and the Wisdom Sanctuary leadership team.  She has held several other key leadership positions including Chair of the Research Committee & Deputy Secretary of the Kenya Pharmaceutical Association (Nairobi Branch) and has been a member of the Continuous Professional Development Technical Committee of the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (Kenya).  She has received various service and mentorship awards, is the author of Releasing the Goodness of a Woman and is regarded as a role model. Agnes is currently working on her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Business Administration.
