Chinonso Ogbogu is an award-winning entrepreneur, startup investor, sound
communicator, gifted writer, and employer of labour, whose story is that of hard work, diligence, consistency, and relentlessness.
On October 1st 2014, he moved to Lagos, Nigeria after suffering a devastating business failure that left him frustrated, depressed, sick, and flat broke. Faced with life’s harsh reality, he refused to stay down. Instead, he picked himself back up, and from the debris of his failure, he built one of Africa’s fastest-growing companies.
He is currently the CEO of Sabi Writers - Africa’s leading and fastest-growing disruptive writing company employing over 33 staff.
Some of his clients include blue chip corporations, CEOs of multinationals, Bank MDs, celebrities, successful entrepreneurs, Vice Chancellors, and high profile government officials.
A company he built with zero external funding and from his small bedroom in Lagos today occupies a massive, 13-bedroom twin apartments, generating several millions in revenue and serving well over 500 corporate clients across Africa.
Recently, he led his team to launch Sabi Portal—the first writing portal in Africa and in the same year, 2020, he was named the Emerging Young CEO of the Year by Anaedo Online - a leading online magazine in the South East, Nigeria.
With over 8 years field experience, spanning business management, enterprise growth, personal development, youth empowerment, and entrepreneurship education, Chinonso consults for several startups and growing organizations in Nigeria.
He currently sits on the Advisory Board of two growing startups in Africa and serves as a Faculty Member of a pan-African business learning community of Africans in the diaspora.
Chinonso is a business strategist and a highly thought-after trainer for various high-profile institutions and events because of his energetic, sound, fun, and insight-filled approach to teaching.
One unique aspect of his style of presentation is his mastery of storytelling in
educating, entertaining, and inspiring his students to action. In February 2019, he was invited to be the keynote speaker at the largest Sales Convention in East Africa that was held in Kampala, Uganda.
He is the author of four books - The Voices, The Gossip, Crack Squad, and Deep!, where he shares hands-on strategies and tools for business, team building, sales, and personal growth.
When he is not busy running his business or leading his team, Chinonso loves to sleep and listen to country songs.
